Obit from Reading Times:

BOHLER - On the 12th inst. in this city, John Bohler, aged 78 years, 11 months and 7 days.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the late residence of deceased, No. 812 Court street. Services at the First Reformed Church. Interment at Aulenbach's Cemetery.

Arrived in America around 1829 and settled in Reading, Pa. The name was sometimes shown as Böhler. His parents are indicated as Gilgian Bohler and Susanna Willen
Organ maker and carpenter. His business was continued by his sons, primarily Samuel, and was known as the Reading Pipe Organ Manufactory Co.
