In Johannes' will she is called Margreta. Muddy Creek Church records give her name as Margaret. She was confirmed in 1775, age 16. She is listed as sponsor in the baptism of Margaret Kilian on 11 April 1787, and sponsor in the baptism of Margaret Schlott (daughter of Fredrick and Julianna) on 27 October 1788.
Her mother may have died about 1785. Margaret's late marriage, at about age 33, suggests she may have become the caregiver for the younger Schlott children, Susanna and Henry, as well as for her father, said in 1785 to be aging and infirm.
Her marriage is reported in records of the Trinity Evangelical Church, New Holland, Pennsylvania. Johannes' will gave Margaret the use of the small house in town for life. Land records show that a Jacob Snyder later became owner of the house.
