Schlott, Susan 1
Narrative
Most of the information about Susan came from the memoirs of Joseph Uhrich, written in 1884.
The records of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Holland, in different translations, reported the marriage of Henry or Henrich Baer or Bear of Earl township and Susanne Schlott.
According to Uhrich, Susan and Henry settled first in Brownstown, West Earl twp, Lancaster co, where all nine of their children were born. John Bear was the youngest.
Around 1850, then in their late 50's, Susan and Henry moved to Stark co, Ohio. A short time later they moved on to Ridgville Corners, in Henry county to the west of Toledo, Ohio.
Four of their children, Samuel, Jacob, Joseph, and Polly came with them to Ohio, to settle in Fulton co; John apparently remained in Pennsylvania, living in West Earl, Lancaster co.
Son Israel, the eldest, left home when a young man and was never heard from again.
A Bear grandchildren headcount was provided by Uhrich
Not able to document the presence of Henry in Ohio
