Also lists birth as 1853-03-25. However, other sources (Ressler, Heffner) has it as 1854 or approximately that.

The Reading newspaper clipping mentions he was 77 at the time of his death. If the 1853 birth was correct, he would have been 78 years, 10 months at his death, so a birth between 1854-02-07 and 1855-02-07 is much more likely.

Berks and Vicinity

George K. Pawling died at his home in Robesonia, aged 77 years. He was a member of the Knights of Friendship Chamber in Mohnton. He was a son of the late Isaac and Mary (Kilhefner) Pawling. There survive his widow, Elizabeth (Good) Pawling; these children: John, Krickton; Arthur, Mohnton; Robert, Pennside; George, Kricktown; and Fred, in the United States navy, stationed at Pascagoula, Miss.
