Narrative

Arthur B. Pawling, 80, of 3824 Stoudt's Ferry Bridge Road, Riverview Park, was pronounced dead on arrival Monday night at the Community General Hospital.

Born in Mohnton, a son of the late George K. and Rose (Bohler) Pawling, he was a self-employed painter and paperhanger until his retirement five years ago.

Mr. Pawling was a member of the Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Knights of the Pythias Lodge 485, and Camp 211, Patriotic Order Sons of America, all of Mohnton.

Surviving are his widow, Lillie (Blankenbiller) Pawling; a daughter, Janet wife of George J. Hassler Riverview Park, and a brother, Fred B., Clearwater, Fla.

Services will be held in the Kroninger Funeral Home, Mohnton, on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. John H. Bixler officiating. Burial will be made in Mohnton Cemetery.
